With current real estate options in place and new employment land development on the horizon, Milton, Ontario is the ideal location for business investment.

Milton’s record-breaking year of industrial-commercial development in 2015 brought significant opportunity for business investment with the addition of 2.5 million square feet of newly completed construction in the 401 Business Park.

The newly added real estate options have provided opportunities for Milton company expansions, and new business investment, with companies like Uline and FedEx subsidiary Genco choosing Milton as their location for business success.

The significant increase in industrial- commercial product has yet to slow Milton’s real estate market. The community’s young, highly-skilled workforce, and central location within one of the most sophisticated transportation and logistics corridors in the world, has made it the ideal location for business investment and expansion.

Derry Green Business Park

It’s no secret the Milton is one of the fastest-growing municipalities in Canada. With 2016 census results placing the community’s population at just over 110,000 and projections that this number will more than double in 2031, totaling 235,000 people. The Town of Milton continues to proactively work to maintain a balanced, consistent approach to growth ensuring employment land development opportunities parallel residential growth.

As the 401 Business Park approaches full absorption, the Town has actively worked to facilitate the development of the Derry Green Business Park, Milton’s second business park area accommodating employment growth in the community to the year 2021 and beyond.

The demand for development in Derry Green Business Park has been significant and staff continue to work in partnership with Halton Region to ensure servicing timelines are met to continue to serve investment interest, with shovel-ready development projected to happen in early 2018.

An Investment in Growth

The future of Milton is a great one, and as workforce and business development opportunities continue to flourish alongside Ontario’s Places to Grow plan, the possibilities are endless.

Through every stage of development or relocation, the Town of Milton’s Economic Development Office is here to extend personal assistance and guidance.
