Offices located in Kitchener and now in Hamilton.

Founded in 1951, WalterFedy is an integrated practice of architecture, engineering, and construction professionals personally invested in delivering creative and practical built environments that enrich communities. We began as a small mechanical and electrical firm in Kitchener, Ontario, but over the next 65 years, we would evolve to add civil and structural engineering, architecture and interior design, construction management, and most recently, energy and facilities management to our list of services.

We have deep roots in Waterloo Region and are involved with a number of local organization and charities. Community engagement is a cornerstone of our business, and throughout our history we have focused on projects that support the growth and health of the region where we work and live. Our firm and individual staff members are heavily involved in various organizations throughout Waterloo Region, providing support both financially and in volunteer hours to organizations focusing on health care, homelessness, and multiple avenues of community support. Beyond our charitable involvement, we have also contributed heavily to the Region’s infrastructure and development including extensive work for the Region and Cities of Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge.

In 2015, we opened a second office in Hamilton, allowing our company to grow while also better serving our customers in that area. Offering mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering; civil engineering; energy management; and facilities management, our Hamilton office team are currently working on projects with Mohawk College, St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, Hamilton Health Sciences and the Hamilton Port Authority. We plan to provide the same level of community engagement in Hamilton as we do in Waterloo Region and have recently become members of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce and the Hamilton Halton Construction Association. The City of Hamilton has great potential and opportunity and we look forward to build our new community’s infrastructure and support future growth.
