PWC Opens in Oakville, Ontario just two years after Oakville Mayor Rob Burton attended the ground- breaking ceremony for the new GTA West office of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) on Davis Road.

PwC Centre is a welcome addition to a business community in Oakville, Ontario that is poised for big growth. Within walking distance of the Oakville GO Train, and minutes from the 403, 407 and QEW, the Davis Road location was selected because of its accessibility and convenience for both its people and clients in Oakville, Hamilton, Mississauga and the broader GTA.

PwC moved into the Davis Road complex in September 2013, and the facility now houses members of the firm’s audit and assurance, tax, consulting and deals and internal firm services practices.

Flexibility and a people-friendly work environment are two elements that characterize PwC Centre and the new facility focuses on three key areas to create the optimal workspace: bright, open-concept designs, collaborative spaces and client- focused rooms. PwC Centre features eight client meeting rooms with state-of-the-art technologies, multiple project rooms on each floor for collaborative work, and a bright and spacious Oasis staff lounge, where employees can socialize over a game of foosball. Several client meeting rooms were also specially designed with retractable walls to convert into larger entertainment spaces for client and community events and receptions accommodating up to 125 people. The overall design is bright and spacious, with offices situated on the interior of floor plan facing windows and workstations situated along the ‘glass line’ or the exterior of the floor plan to maximize the amount of natural light exposure for all staff. This incorporates a design principle known as “right to light.”

PwC is seeking Silver certification of the new space under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system.

With more than 100 years of experience in helping businesses with unique solutions, PwC presently employs more than 6,500 people in Canada.

The new Oakville location is the second largest PwC office in the GTA and joins a list of 26 offices servicing clients from St. John’s, Newfoundland to Vancouver, British Columbia.
